Tech History

On June 5th 1983, Coleco announced at the Consumer Electronics Show, the Coleco Adam, [a gaming console]. It was their first attempt at a computer hybrid system – gaming and desktop computing. [The gaming console was priced at $725.]

About Me

My name is Juwan Norah, and I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I’m the proud father of five (5) kids, and three dogs. I currently work for a financial firm, in the Information Technology (I.T) department. My primary role consists of managing a Support/Testing team of five (5) technicians and testers. My current I.T role involve me working with a number of different programs, such as, Excel, ObserveIT, and Splunk; just to name a few. I’ve been in the I.T field for about 10 years now, which encompassed a wide range of roles, including, Support, Testing, and Management. I’m eager to learn about new principles, methodologies, and software that may be useful in my current and future roles. I’m currently enrolled at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering. Upon completing my studies and graduating from UAGC, I plan to pursue a career as a Software Engineer within the I.T sector. My primary focus will be on Artificial Intelligence (A.I), and Machine Learning (M.L). Once I’ve completed all of my studies, I‘ll have a more robust understanding about network infrastructure, and technological security protocols. I’m always willing and seeking to learn new skills, and about new technologies. I support a collaborative culture of learning, and the ideology that we can ALL learn from, and teach one another!
